Stories From the Suburbs

Long time no see. Sorry its been awhile. I've been keeping up with my personal blog elsewhere and dealing with the stresses of homework (and stressful teachers- Brian, if you're reading this and I suppose even if you're not, I am  not talking about you) and working on transferring and, oh bother, you know- life! And not the alive sort of life... the actually life-draining, soul-sucking, "get a life!" sort. Gross.

Anyway a social network friend of mine posted this and it reminded me of a collection of short stories I read in class last semester. Even though as a whole I vehemently hated didn't enjoy the stories, there were a few that I definitely appreciated for their tone and believable grasp on reality. Anyway...

"Just went through my kitchen junk drawer looking for a pen. Found an old pack of bottle rockets, and being a boy at heart, just shot them all off over the neighborhood. Dogs are barking, neighbors are yelling, all my lights are off, I'm not home, they'll tell me about it tomorrow."
Seems like a short story in and of itself.

That's all,

Jessica
